GDRFA vs ICP: which UAE visa authority do you need?

How to identify the issuer
- Check the application receipt, permit or provider confirmation for GDRFA/ICP branding or issuer information.
- Ask the airline, hotel, agent or sponsor where the application was filed.
- Do not decide solely from the arrival airport; the filing route and issuer matter.
- If uncertain, start with the UAE Government’s official tracking guidance.
Why the distinction matters
Using the wrong portal can produce a “not found” result even when an application exists elsewhere. It can also expose you to lookalike websites that charge for a status check. Start with the issuer and use the official domain directly.
