Source and verification policy

Primary authority pages control our material claims. Airline and tourism pages explain their own operational routes; commercial articles are discovery leads, not proof.

Evidence hierarchy

  • UAE legislation and primary authority notices where accessible.
  • GDRFA Dubai and ICP for immigration and identity services.
  • The Official Platform of the UAE Government for cross-government routing.
  • The responsible specialist body, including MOHRE, Dubai Land Department, DEWA, DHA, KHDA, RTA or the Federal Tax Authority, for its own subject.
  • UAE embassies/ministries and the traveller’s own government for passport-specific warnings.
  • Airlines, hotels and licensed providers for their own conditions.
  • Commercial publications only as leads to stronger evidence.

Claim records

For volatile facts we record the statement, applicable traveller and service, source URL, retrieval date, reviewer, next review date and any conflict. A source being official does not make it universal: GOV.UK guidance for a full British citizen passport, for example, cannot be applied to every UK resident.

Review frequency

  • Monthly: eligibility, fees, stay periods, documents, status routes, residence, employment and other volatile service conditions.
  • Quarterly: glossary, general process and static explanatory material.
  • Immediately after a confirmed material rule change or a credible correction report.
  • Before acting: readers must still verify their own case through the linked authority or provider.

Unavailable or conflicting evidence

If an official page is temporarily unavailable, we may retain a dated summary but label the limitation and link an alternative official route. If sources conflict, we identify the conflict and ask the reader to confirm with the handler rather than choosing the easiest answer.
