• Personal photo and a passport copy valid for at least six months.
• Six months of bank statements.
• Health insurance and a round-trip/onward ticket.
• Evidence of a USD 4,000 balance, or equivalent, over the six months before submission.
• Payment of the listed fees and guarantee.

Stay limits matter more than the label

The visa may be valid for five years, but that is not five years of continuous residence. GDRFA describes stays of no more than 90 days in a year, with a possible similar extension, provided total stay does not exceed 180 days in a year. Unused days do not carry forward.

The official page separates application, issuance, service, knowledge/innovation and guarantee-related amounts. Because the guarantee is large and refund conditions matter, use the live page rather than an old all-in total. Ask how the guarantee is returned and what can cause forfeiture.

Application preparation

1. Confirm the five-year product fits the planned frequency and stay pattern.
2. Prepare six continuous months of financial records and confirm the evidence format.
3. Verify insurance coverage, passport validity and return/onward travel evidence.
4. Read the guarantee return and violation terms before paying.
5. Track every entry and exit and request an official travel report when needed.
