Glossary
Visa-free entry
Visa-free entry means an eligible traveller does not arrange a visa in advance under that rule. Passport, purpose, permitted stay and border checks still apply.
Free of advance visa does not mean free of conditions
The traveller must still use an eligible travel document, meet passport-validity and purpose rules, stay within the authorised period and satisfy the carrier and border checks.
Check the correct identity fact
Eligibility is generally described by the passport/citizenship category, not merely the country where the person lives or boarded the flight. Special passport types can have different treatment.
Keep the visit within scope
- Do not work without the required permission.
- Track the permitted stay.
- Check whether repeat visits are limited by a rolling window.
- Recheck after passport or status changes.
- Seek official help before the period expires if plans change.
