Overstay
An overstay occurs when a person remains beyond the permission recorded for them. Consequences can include daily accumulating fines and other immigration problems, so do not rely on a general calculator if the official record is unclear.
Check the official record
Entry validity, permitted stay and extension rules are different concepts. Check the issued permission and official movement/status record. If you may already be out of status, contact GDRFA for Dubai or ICP for the relevant federal/other-emirate record promptly.
GOV.UK warns British travellers that fines may accumulate for each day beyond the authorised stay. The exact consequence is individual and current-authority information controls it.
Do not compound the problem
- Do not invent an exit/entry date to make a calculator look compliant.
- Do not pay an unverified intermediary claiming it can erase an overstay.
- Keep evidence of official payments, applications and advice.
- Get qualified individual advice if there is a travel ban, unresolved case or other legal issue.
