Entry permit
An entry permit is permission connected to entering the UAE for a stated purpose and under stated conditions. The label alone does not tell you the permitted purpose, number of entries, validity window or allowed stay.
How to read the term
Official services use entry-permit and visa terminology across tourism, visits, transit, work, study, treatment and residence processes. Always read the exact service name and issued document rather than assuming all entry permits work alike.
Check the date by which entry must occur, the permitted duration after entry, whether the permission is single or multiple entry, the sponsor or host, and the issuing authority. A permit to enter for a visit is not permission to work.
